SUMMER ROCKS at GRASSROOTS MUSIC
SUMMER ROCK BAND
June 2-4 / 10:30 - 1:30 / ages 10-18
- BANDS will be divided based on experience, age & interest!
- Each band will come up with a BAND NAME, LOGO, TIE DYE & learn songs together as a BAND!
- Must have SOME experience on their instrument (1+ year)
THINGS TO KNOW:
Bring your own instrument & lunch! Bands will play A CONCERT on closing day!
- $290/student if paid by April 30. [ $335/student after May 1 ]
Open to ALL students (do not have to be a Grassroots Music student to attend!

SONGWRITING WORKSHOP
Songwriting Workshop & SHOWCASE
June 12 - 13 / 1-4pm / ages 12 - 18
Join Nate & Alicia Phillips & local songwriter, Stacey Clarke for a Songwriting Intensive. Get feedback from musicians who are in the business, writing and singing songs.
SONGWRITING SHOWCASE IS SATURDAY EVENING June 13 7:00pm & free to attend.
-Experience on an instrument is preferred but not required.
-Students will work on songs individually or in small groups & collaborate on a song all together.
-Students will have a chance to work with guitar & piano instructors, vocal coach, performance coaches & songwriting coaches
- $200/student if paid by April 30. [ $250/student after May 1 ]

June 16-18 ISLAND VIBES: ukuleles & beach themed art (with Alicia)
July 14-16 BUCKET DRUMS, JUNKYARD PERCUSSION & ROCK BAND EXPERIENCE: splatter paint, create & design a band logo (with Nate)
July 21-23 MOVIE SCENES & SOUNDTRACKS: come belt out your movie favorites & make cool art projects (with Alicia)
